Overview
OT0233Q SoM from Onchip is a fully integrated ready to use embedded module built on a high quality impedance controlled multi layer PCB. It only requires 5V or 3.7 - 4.2V battery to get up and running at blazing speeds of 454MHz. All the unused pins (except the pins connected to on board DDR RAM and Flash memory) are available through standard 2mm 84-Pin connector in logical groups.
Processor
The i.MX233 applications processor based on the ARM926EJ-S can run at speeds up to 454MHz and is targeted for cost sensitive consumer applications. It has 32KB of SRAM and 64KB of ROM internally. The power management unit (PMU) integrates DC-DC switching converters and multiple linear regulators to provide power sequencing for the device itself and drive I/O peripherals such as memories and SD cards as well as providing battery charging capability for Li-Ion batteries. The i.MX233 also integrates analog audio, a stereo headphone DAC with 99dB Signal-to-Noise ratio and stereo ADC with 85dB Signal-to-Noise ratio. It also has I2C,UART, High speed OTG USB, LCD interface and SPI.
RAM
OT0233Q SoM consists of 64MB of DDR SDRAM interfaced to the processor in 16bit mode and can operate at 266MHz. The DDR memory chip is internally organized in 4Meg x16 x4 banks. The DDR SDRAM uses double data rate architecture to achieve high-speed operation. Refer the DDR SDRAM manufacturer datasheet for specifications and timing parameters.
NAND Flash
OT23Q SoM consists of 256 or 512 MB of NAND Flash interfaced to the processor using standard 8 bit configuration.
SPI Flash
OT0233Q SoM can also have an optional SPI Flash memory in place of default NAND flash.
BOOT-Modes
OT23Q supports all boot modes supported by I.MX23 that include NAND Flash, SPI Flash, I2C EEPROM, USB and JTAG.
Connector
All the peripherals of the processor are logically grouped and made available through the 84-pin connector. The Pin out of the connector is given in the next section.
